Exchange & Study Abroad

International study is a valuable addition to any degree, greatly enhancing student cultural awareness and international networks.

The Global Learning website provides a list of exchange partners – institutions that agree to accept exchange students from The University of Adelaide.

The Elder Conservatorium of Music particularly recommends the following institutions as they offer programs that are complementary to our Bachelor degree, and rank highly in terms of quality and international recognition:

  • Europe: Lund University (Malmo Academy of Music)
  • UK: Birmingham University
  • Canada: McGill University (Schulich School of Music)
  • USA: University of Indiana Bloomington (Jacobs School of Music)
  • Asia: Seoul National University

You may apply to study at other institutions not listed as exchange partners, but please be aware that this will be classed as study abroad and you will be liable for upfront course fees.

The Global Learning office holds information sessions on the different experiences and opportunities available. Their website lists the 2016 Exchange information sessions. Please visit the Faculty of Arts' Exchange website for further details and how to apply. Students are encouraged to discuss their interest in exchange with their Head of Study and/or instrumental/vocal teacher.
