Teaching Staff - Voice
Sara Lambert began her musical training playing the clarinet before moving to vocal studies in her final year of school. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music Performance (Honours) in voice from the Elder Conservatorium and went on to graduate with a Diploma in Operatic Art from the Sydney Conservatorium.
She became a full-time company member of Opera Australia where she sang for numerous years before being awarded a company travelling scholarship to continue her professional development in London with David Harper and conductors and coaches from The Royal Opera and English National Opera.
Sara has won vocal awards in Australia and the UK, and is a critically acclaimed artist on the concert and operatic stages of Australia and Europe. She is a versatile performer having worked in radio and television, Opera, Operetta and Cabaret. She is also a popular guest vocalist at community events and a committed arts educator.
Since returning to Adelaide Sara has been a principal artist for Co-Opera in national, European and SE Asian tours and is a regular performer with the State Opera of SA. Her roles include Michaela in Carmen, Pamina in The Magic Flute, Mimi in La Bohème, Fiordiligi in Cosi fan Tutte, The Countess in The Marriage of Figaro, Galatea in Acis and Galatea, Vitellia in La Clemenza di Tito and Tatyana in Eugene Onegin.
